Um tordo-da-capoeira pequeno e discreto da família Acanthizidae, endêmico das regiões áridas da Austrália. O Tordo-de-cauda-ferrugem (Acanthiza uropygialis) habita matagais áridos, especialmente acácia e vegetação salina no interior árido da Austrália. Mede aproximadamente 10 cm. Caracterizado pela cobertura de cauda ferrugem-alaranjada. Alimenta-se de insetos e pequenos invertebrados, forragendo no solo e em vegetação baixa. É bastante discreto, muitas vezes difícil de observar. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
