Um tordo-da-capoeira modesto da família Acanthizidae, endêmico da Austrália Ocidental. O Tordo-simples (Acanthiza inornata) habita florestas de eucalipto, matagais e matas ripárias no sudoeste da Austrália Ocidental. Mede aproximadamente 10-11 cm. É mais sóbrio que outros pardais tordos relacionados, com plumagem essencialmente marrom-oliva por cima e esbranquiçada por baixo. Alimenta-se de insetos e outros pequenos invertebrados, forragendo no folhiço e na vegetação baixa. Geralmente observado em pares ou pequenos grupos familiares. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
