Falcunculidae

Shriketit; a monotypic family containing only the Australian Shriketit—an unusual passerine with a hooked, parrot-like bill used to strip bark and gouge wood for insects. Nominate subspecies occupies eastern Australia; two other subspecies in the north and west. Related to whistlers.
