Black-backed Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus cinctus), 30 cm. Striking with a glossy black mantle, white head and rose-pink breast band. Inhabits monsoon forest and savanna woodland of northern Australia and eastern Indonesia. Frugivore. Least Concern; roosts communally and undertakes seasonal movements.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
