Inhabits humid lowland and foothill forests across northern South America, from Colombia and Venezuela south through Amazonia to Bolivia. Arboreal, feeding on fruits and seeds. Least Concern; widespread in Amazonian forests with relatively stable populations in undisturbed areas.
