대형 가다랑어잡이새로 체장 84–94cm이며, 흰 몸통에 검은 날개 끝과 노란 빛이 도는 머리를 갖는다. 호주, 뉴질랜드, 뉴칼레도니아 남부 해안에서 번식하고 인근 해역에서 월동한다. 잠수하여 어류를 잡는다. 관심 필요 종이다.
Abbott's Booby
79 cm. Largely white with black flight feathers and tail; pink bill; blue facial skin. Only booby nesting in trees. Breeds Christmas Island (Indian Ocean). Endangered; fewer than 6,000 pairs; threatened by phosphate mining and introduced yellow crazy ants. Ranges Indian and Pacific oceans.
