대형 가다랑어잡이새로 체장 84–94cm이며, 흰 몸통에 검은 날개 끝과 노란 빛이 도는 머리를 갖는다. 남아프리카 해안 특정 지역에서 번식하는 고유종이다. 잠수하여 어류를 잡는다. 취약한 상태이다.
