소형 비둘기로 체장 약 22cm이며, 갈색에 옅은 아랫면과 노란 눈 주위 피부를 갖는다. 아르헨티나 북서부 고지대 건조 지역에 서식하는 고유종이다. 씨앗을 먹으며 바닥에서 생활한다. 관심 필요 종이다.
