소형 나무타기새로 체장 약 15cm이며, 밤색 윗면에 흰색 점박이 무늬와 줄무늬가 있는 아랫면을 갖는다. 파나마 동부 고지대 숲에만 서식하는 희귀 고유종이다. 나무 껍질에서 곤충을 찾아 먹는다. 근접위협 종이다.
