About These Birds
Enggano Cuckoo-Dove
Slender cuckoo-dove, 32–35 cm, uniform warm cinnamon-rufous with minimal barring and a relatively short tail. Restricted to Enggano Island off the southwestern coast of Sumatra. Inhabits dense lowland forest. Frugivore. Vulnerable due to extremely small range and ongoing forest loss on the island.

소형 비둘기로 체장 약 22cm이며, 옅은 갈색에 분홍빛 흰색 아랫면과 눈 주위 밝은 노란색 피부를 갖는다. 안데스 산맥 페루, 볼리비아, 칠레, 아르헨티나의 건조한 고지대 암석과 관목지에 서식한다. 씨앗을 먹으며 바닥에서 생활한다. 관심 필요 종이다.
