About These Birds

Antarctic Shag

63–72 cm. Black above; white below; caruncles reduced compared to related shags. Breeds on the Antarctic Peninsula and associated islands. Feeds on fish in cold Antarctic coastal waters. One of the southernmost-breeding cormorants; largely sedentary around breeding colonies.

Little Pied Cormorant

소형 가마우지로 체장 약 55–65cm이며, 흰 아랫면과 흑백의 뚜렷한 대비를 갖는다. 호주, 뉴질랜드, 인도네시아의 담수 강, 호수, 습지에 서식한다. 잠수하여 어류와 수생 무척추동물을 먹는다. 관심 필요 종이다.
