About These Birds
Antarctic Shag
63–72 cm. Black above; white below; caruncles reduced compared to related shags. Breeds on the Antarctic Peninsula and associated islands. Feeds on fish in cold Antarctic coastal waters. One of the southernmost-breeding cormorants; largely sedentary around breeding colonies.
Long-tailed Cormorant
소형 가마우지로 체장 45–55cm이며, 짙은 갈색-검은색에 노란색 얼굴 피부와 반짝이는 작은 구아닌이 있다. 아프리카 사하라 이남 전역의 습지, 강, 호수에 서식한다. 잠수하여 소형 어류를 먹는다. 관심 필요 종이다.
