회색갈매기는 남아메리카 태평양 연안에 서식하는 갈매기이다. 전반적으로 회색 깃털을 가진 것이 특징이며 번식기에는 흰 머리가 된다. 칠레와 페루 해안에서 번식하며 겨울에는 에콰도르까지 올라간다.
