고리부리갈매기는 북아메리카에 서식하는 중형 갈매기이다. 노란 부리에 검은 고리 반점이 특징이며 내륙 호수와 해안 모두에서 번식한다. 쓰레기 매립지, 농경지, 주차장에서도 먹이를 찾는 기회주의적 식성을 가진다.
