청다리도요사촌갈매기는 유럽과 아시아 북부에서 번식하고 남쪽 해안으로 이동하는 중형 갈매기이다. 회색 등과 흰 몸, 녹색 다리가 특징이며 황색 부리에 붉은 반점이 없다. 해안과 내륙 수계에서 물고기와 무척추동물을 먹는다.
