Black-crowned Monjita
The Black-crowned Monjita is a medium-sized, ground-dwelling tyrant flycatcher of open Patagonian and Andean steppe habitats in Argentina and Chile, with striking black, white, and chestnut patterning and a bold black crown. It inhabits open dry grasslands, rocky slopes, and semi-arid shrublands. It feeds on insects and other invertebrates, hunting from low perches and on the ground.
