매우 긴 곧은 부리를 가진 11–12 cm의 중형 벌새. 파란-보라색 이마의 녹색 깃털. 600–1,800m의 베네수엘라에서 볼리비아까지 습윤 산지림에 서식한다. 긴 관 모양의 꽃에 특화된 꿀 먹는 새. 창 같은 부리로 명명.
