대형 땅비둘기로 체장 약 32cm이며, 파란 날개에 갈색 몸통과 파란 정수리 볏을 갖는다. 솔로몬 제도 초이술 섬에 서식하던 고유종으로 1904년 표본 수집 이후 기록이 없으며 멸종된 것으로 추정된다. 관심 필요 종이다.
