얼룩 뻐꾸기새(Centropus ateralbus) — 55-60 cm. 인상적인 흑백 뻐꾸기새로 광택 있는 검은 날개와 꼬리, 순백색 머리, 목, 아랫면이다. 파푸아뉴기니 뉴 브리튼과 인근 섬의 삼림 가장자리와 이차림에 제한적으로 분포한다. 비기생성이다. 잡식성으로 도마뱀, 대형 곤충, 소형 척추동물을 사냥한다. 국지적으로 안정적인 상태다.
