얼룩 뻐꾸기새(Centropus ateralbus) — 55-60 cm. 인상적인 흑백 뻐꾸기새로 광택 있는 검은 날개와 꼬리, 순백색 머리, 목, 아랫면이다. 파푸아뉴기니 뉴 브리튼과 인근 섬의 삼림 가장자리와 이차림에 제한적으로 분포한다. 비기생성이다. 잡식성으로 도마뱀, 대형 곤충, 소형 척추동물을 사냥한다. 국지적으로 안정적인 상태다.
아프리카에메랄드뻐꾸기(Chrysococcyx cupreus)는 아프리카 중서부 우림 지대에 서식하는 소형 뻐꾸기입니다. 수컷은 선명한 청동빛 녹색으로 빛나며, 탁란을 통해 번식합니다. '라이징'이라 불리는 특유의 소리를 냅니다.
