안데스 지역과 인접 저지대의 개활 초지, 관목지, 농경지에 사는 Thraupidae과 소형 핀치. 몸무게 약 13.5 g, 날개폭 약 13.1 cm이며, 꼬리 기부에 독특한 밝은 띠가 있다. 주로 지면 위나 근처에서 풀씨를 먹는다.
Black-headed Hemispingus
The Black-headed Hemispingus is a small, compact tanager-like bird with a black cap, olive-green back, and yellowish underparts. It is restricted to humid montane forests of the western Andes in Colombia and Ecuador, inhabiting cloud forest at elevations between 1,500 and 2,800 meters. It forages in the understory and midstory, gleaning insects and berries from foliage.
