독특하게 위로 굽은 송곳 모양의 부리를 가진 소형 벌새(8~9cm)입니다. 불타는 오렌지 빨간 꼬리가 있는 녹색 깃털. 베네수엘라 동부에서 기아나 지역을 거쳐 아마조니아까지 습한 저지대 숲에 서식합니다. 꿀과 곤충을 먹습니다. 속의 유일한 구성원입니다.
