About These Birds
Great Indian Bustard
인도 아대륙 전역에 과거 널리 분포했던 매우 큰 느시(최대 120cm, 8~18kg)입니다. 모래 갈색 깃털과 검은 머리꼭지가 특징입니다. 150마리 미만만이 남아 있는 극심위기(CE) 종입니다. 건조 초원에 흔히 살았으나 서식지 감소와 전력선 충돌로 거의 멸종에 처했습니다.
Lesser Florican
A small bustard (45-51 cm) found in grasslands of the Indian subcontinent. Males in breeding plumage have a black head and neck with an elongated nuchal crest. Critically Endangered due to severe grassland habitat loss. Males perform spectacular leaping display flights.
