북아프리카와 아라비아반도 건조 초원과 반사막에 서식하는 매우 큰 느시(최대 90cm, 7~15kg)입니다. 모래 갈색 깃털과 독특한 검은 머리꼭지가 특징입니다. 개활 건조 서식지의 잡식성 조류입니다. 사냥과 서식지 감소로 인해 준위협(NT) 종으로 분류됩니다.
Great Indian Bustard
인도 아대륙 전역에 과거 널리 분포했던 매우 큰 느시(최대 120cm, 8~18kg)입니다. 모래 갈색 깃털과 검은 머리꼭지가 특징입니다. 150마리 미만만이 남아 있는 극심위기(CE) 종입니다. 건조 초원에 흔히 살았으나 서식지 감소와 전력선 충돌로 거의 멸종에 처했습니다.
