몸길이 48cm, 날개폭 109cm. 대형 슴새로 위면은 갈색, 아래면은 흰색에 분홍색 발과 어두운 아랫날개 테두리. 칠레 후안페르난데스 제도와 모차 섬에서 번식하며 북태평양으로 이동. 취약(VU) 종으로, 도입 포식자와 연승 혼획의 위협을 받고 있습니다. 물고기와 오징어를 먹습니다.
Broad-billed Prion
25–30 cm, wingspan 57–66 cm. Largest prion; pale blue-grey above, white below with dark M-mark across wings. Bill broad, blue with lamellae for filter-feeding on copepods. Breeds Tristan da Cunha and New Zealand subantarctic. Feeds by hydroplaning with bill submerged.
