How to Tell Them Apart

Male has orange-rufous face, white-spotted black throat collar, grey breast, and chestnut flanks streaked white on dark brown back. Female has brown face with buff streaking, less vivid collar.

Dark brown above with pale buff streaking; white underparts with dense brown streaking; bare red facial skin around eye; yellow-orange legs; dark bill. Sexes similar; highly restricted highland Cameroon endemic.
