오렌지 가슴 자고새는 남부 베트남에만 서식하는 매우 희귀한 자고새입니다. 오렌지색 가슴과 줄무늬 흰색 목이 특징이며, 개체 수와 분포 범위가 극히 제한적입니다.
Hill Partridge
꿩과에 속하는 중간 크기의 자고새(약 340g)로, 붉은색·검은색·흰색의 복잡한 무늬와 오렌지빛 붉은 머리가 특징입니다. 파키스탄에서 중국 남서부까지 히말라야 지역의 아열대 및 산지 활엽수림과 대나무 덤불에 서식합니다. 숲 바닥에서 씨앗, 열매, 무척추동물을 먹습니다. 히말라야 산기슭에 흔히 서식하는 관심대상 종입니다.
