페루와 에콰도르 서부의 건조 해안 저지대에 서식하는 중형 벌새(9~10cm). 초록 윗면과 적갈색 아랫면이 특징이다. 꽃의 꿀과 작은 곤충을 먹는다.
Coppery-headed Emerald
소형 벌새로 체장 약 8cm이며, 수컷은 구리색 머리에 초록-파란 윗면을 갖는다. 코스타리카 북동부 구릉지 숲에 서식하는 희귀 고유종이다. 꽃의 꿀을 빨아 먹는다. 위기에 처한 상태이다.
