최소쇠오리: 15~16cm, 가장 작은 쇠오리류로, 알류샨 열도와 베링해에서 수백만 마리의 거대한 군집지에서 번식한다. 밝은 붉은 부리와 번식기 흰 머리 줄무늬가 특징이다. 수면 가까이에서 잠수하여 동물성 플랑크톤을 걸러 먹는다.

긴부리바다쇠오리, 26~28cm, 굴 없이 시베리아 오래된 성장 숲 내부 이끼낀 나무 가지에서 번식하는 놀라운 내륙 생활을 합니다. 나머지 해에는 동아시아 해안 에서 월동하며 바다에서 생활합니다. 어류식성으로 소형 물고기를 잠수하여 먹습니다. 준위협(NT) 종으로 바다오리새에게 이례적인 번식 생태를 가집니다.
