수트꼬리 벌새는 자메이카 고유종으로 몸 9~10cm에 수컷은 15~18cm의 꼬리 장식 깃털을 가집니다. 수컷은 두 개의 매우 긴 검은 꼬리 깃털이 특징이며, 다양한 높이의 서식지에서 생활합니다.
