75–80 cm. Large; dark brown with white shoulder patch; bare red facial skin. Critically Endangered; fewer than 250 birds known. Restricted to lowland Mekong forests of Cambodia, Vietnam, and Myanmar. Threatened by forest clearance and hunting; one of Asia's rarest birds.
