쾨프케큰부리새는 페루 안데스 산맥 동사면의 구름 숲에 서식하는 대형 멧닭목 새입니다. 이 희귀한 새는 독일계 페루 조류학자 마리아 쾨프케의 이름을 딴 것으로, 극히 제한된 분포와 서식지 파괴로 인해 심각한 위기종입니다.
