소개

매우 긴 곧은 부리(40 mm)를 가진 11–12 cm의 중형 벌새. 보라-파란색 이마의 녹색 깃털. 800–2,500m의 코스타리카에서 볼리비아까지 안데스 운무림에 서식. 긴 관 모양 꽃의 기부를 뚫는 단검 같은 부리 때문에 창부리벌새로 명명.
