베네수엘라에서 볼리비아까지 안데스 운무림에 서식하는 화려한 벌새(몸 10cm + 수컷 꼬리 13cm). 수컷은 파란-녹색 긴 이마 다색 꼬리와 빛나는 에메랄드 목을 가진다. 꽃의 꿀과 작은 곤충을 먹는다.
