남아프리카에서 짐바브웨까지의 남부 아프리카 개방 초원 및 카루에 서식하는 중형 느시(50~55cm). 검은 윗면, 흰 아랫면, 수컷의 검은 목이 특징이다. 씨앗, 곤충, 작은 척추동물을 먹는다.
