검은눈썹갈대솔새는 시베리아와 중국에서 한국과 일본까지 동아시아에서 번식하고 남아시아와 동남아시아에서 겨울을 보내는 작고 줄무늬 있는 습지 새이다. 뚜렷한 굵고 검은 눈썹 줄무늬가 마치 마스크를 쓴 것 같은 외모를 주며, 황갈색 아랫면을 가진다. 물가 빽빽한 갈대밭, 키 큰 풀밭, 울창한 식생에 서식하며 작은 곤충을 먹는다.
