Titicaca Grebe
Titicaca Grebe (Rollandia microptera) is a large 28–45 cm flightless grebe endemic to Lake Titicaca on the Peru-Bolivia border at 3,800 m elevation. Brown with rufous neck; greatly reduced wings. Largest of its genus. Endangered; population ~2,000 birds; declining from gill-net drowning, egg collection, and reed-bed reduction. IUCN Endangered.

Least Grebe (Tachybaptus dominicus) is the smallest New World grebe at 21–27 cm. Dark grey overall in breeding plumage with yellow eye, blackish cap, and short bill. Inhabits small freshwater ponds, ditches, and marshes from the southern USA through Central and South America to northern Argentina. Feeds on small fish and aquatic invertebrates.
