About These Birds
Eurasian Scops-owl
南ヨーロッパ・南アジアで繁殖しアフリカで越冬するフクロウ（体長19〜21cm）。灰色・褐色の木の皮模様の羽色と小さな耳羽が特徴で、木に止まると完璧に擬態する。Otus scops（コノハズク）は夜行性で、単調な「フクッ、フクッ」という口笛のような鳴き声を繰り返す。農薬の影響で個体数が減少している。Strigidae科。
