Asian Crested Ibis
55–77 cm. White overall; bare red facial skin; long drooping nape plumes; pinkish wash in breeding. Endangered; reduced to near-extinction by 1981 (7 individuals in Japan) but recovered through captive breeding to thousands. Resident Japan, China, Korea; feeds on fish and crustaceans in rice paddies.
African Sacred Ibis
アフリカ・中東の湿地・農地に生息するトキ（体長65〜75cm）。白い体と黒い裸の頭部・首が特徴的。Threskiornis aethiopicus（アフリカクロトキ）は古代エジプトで神トートの象徴として崇められた神聖な鳥。欧州（フランス等）にも外来種として定着し、生態系への影響が懸念されている。Threskiornithidae科。
