Eurasian Tree Sparrow
ヨーロッパ・アジアに広く分布するスズメ(体長12〜14cm)。栗色の頭頂部と白い頬の黒い斑が特徴で、雌雄同色。Passer montanus(スズメ)は日本で最もよく見られるスズメで、民家の屋根の隙間や木の洞に巣を作り、種子や昆虫を食べる。近年、都市化の影響により個体数が減少している。Passeridae科。
