コンハフトのタマリンドヒタキはブラジルのアマゾン盆地のタパジョス川・シングー川流域の低地熱帯林に生息する小型のフライキャッチャー(体長9〜10 cm)。2012年に記載された新種。橄欖色の羽衣と黄色みがかった下面が特徴。生息地の伐採が懸念される。
Blackish Chat-tyrant
The Blackish Chat-tyrant is a small, compact flycatcher with almost uniformly dark slaty-blackish plumage, a pale eye ring, and slightly paler underparts. It inhabits wet cloud forest, forest edges, and shrubby páramo in the Andes from Colombia south to Bolivia, typically at elevations between 2,000 and 3,500 meters. It perches low, sallying to the ground or hovering to catch small insects.
