コロンビア・エクアドルの西アンデス（標高1,200〜2,400 m）の雲霧林に生息する小型ハチドリ（体長10〜11 cm）。暗緑色の羽衣と白い脚の羽毛が特徴。湿った苔むした雲霧林の蜜食性。チョコの森林生息地の喪失により準絶滅危惧に分類。
