パプアヤマバト(Gymnophaps albertisii)、体長35 cm。頑丈な山地バト;栗色の腹部を持つ暗い煤煙色。ニューギニアの標高1,200〜3,600 mの原始的な山地林に生息。果食性。軽度懸念;高地モンタン・亜高山帯の森林に普通。
Enggano Cuckoo-Dove
Slender cuckoo-dove, 32–35 cm, uniform warm cinnamon-rufous with minimal barring and a relatively short tail. Restricted to Enggano Island off the southwestern coast of Sumatra. Inhabits dense lowland forest. Frugivore. Vulnerable due to extremely small range and ongoing forest loss on the island.
