ハダカメクラクイナ(Gymnocrex plumbeiventris)はモルッカ諸島・ニューギニア地域に生息するクイナ(体長27〜31 cm)。腹面は灰色、背面は褐色、目の周囲に特徴的な裸出した赤橙色の顔面皮膚。低地雨林・二次林・水辺の林縁に生息。隠遁性が強く、落葉を歩いて無脊椎動物・小型脊椎動物を採食。

Rufous-faced Crake (Laterallus xenopterus) is a small 14–16 cm crake of central South America, found in Paraguay, Brazil, and Bolivia. Dark brown above; bright rufous face and breast with white-and-black barred flanks. Inhabits wet grasslands and marshes. Secretive and little-studied; detected primarily by call.
