The Amami Jay is a vulnerable corvid weighing 125 g with a broad 34.8 cm wingspan, endemic to the Amami Islands of southern Japan. It has striking blue and chestnut plumage and inhabits subtropical broadleaf forests where it caches food.
Asir Magpie
The Asir Magpie is an Endangered corvid restricted to the Asir Mountains of southwestern Saudi Arabia. Weighing about 200g with a wingspan of 38.9cm, it resembles other magpies with black-and-white plumage and a long tail. Its extremely limited range and habitat degradation make it one of Arabia's most threatened birds.
