The Black-fronted Ground-tyrant is a small, pale gray flycatcher with a distinctive black forehead and crown contrasting against its otherwise plain gray-white body. It inhabits high-altitude rocky slopes, barren grasslands, and puna habitat in the Andes from Bolivia to northwestern Argentina, typically above 3,500 meters.
