Bulwer's Petrel
全長26〜28cm、翼開長68〜73cm。全身暗いチョコレート褐色で楔形の長い尾；淡い対角の翼の縞が目立つ。亜熱帯の大西洋と太平洋の島々で繁殖；熱帯の外洋へ渡る。水面近くをかすめる浮揚感のある蛇行飛翔。夜間に烏賊と魚を食べる。

43 cm, wingspan 104 cm. Large; dark brown above with pale belly and dusky breast-band creating hooded appearance. Breeds Tristan da Cunha and Gough Island; ranges into south Atlantic and Indian Ocean. Endangered; threatened by introduced predators and longline fisheries.
