ニューギニア・オーストラリア北部・ソロモン諸島の熱帯林に生息するオウム（体長35〜42cm）。雄は鮮やかな緑色、雌は真紅と青紫色と、同一種とは思えないほど異なる羽色を持つ（性的二色性）。Eclectus roratus（エクレクタスオウム）は果実、種子、花を食べ、森林の重要な種子散布者。Psittaculidae科。
