ミャンマーから東南アジア本土を経てボルネオにかけての低地林に生息する中型のガマグチヨタカ（23〜25cm）。淡い首輪を持つ褐色の羽毛。夜行性の昆虫食者。ホースフィールドガマグチヨタカと近縁。原生林と二次林の下生えに生息する。

ボルネオとマレー半島の低地熱帯雨林に生息する大型のガマグチヨタカ（38〜42cm）。白い耳房飾りを持つ豊かな褐色の羽毛。巨大な口裂を持つ夜行性の昆虫食者。アジア最大のガマグチヨタカで、大型昆虫と小型脊椎動物を食べる。
