Anna's Hummingbird
Anna's hummingbird is the most common hummingbird along the Pacific coast and one of only three species resident in the United States year-round. Males perform spectacular dive displays, plummeting from 40 meters and pulling up with a loud chirp produced by tail feathers. Their body temperature can drop to near ambient at night to conserve energy.

メキシコのバハ・カリフォルニア・スール州南端固有の中型ハチドリ（9〜10cm）。緑色の羽毛に赤褐色の胸と白い眼帯を持つ。乾燥した低木地とトゲのある林の蜜食者。ハンガリーの博物学者ジョン・ザンタスにちなんで命名されたバハ・カリフォルニア固有種。
