ブラジル・バイア州のシャパーダ・ジアマンティーナ高地固有の小型ハチドリ（8〜9cm）。黄金色に輝く緑色の前額バイザーと暗色の羽毛を持つ。岩礁のカンポ・ルペストレ生息地の蜜食者。極めて限られた分布域と生息地劣化により絶滅危惧種に分類。
